NEW HIV CASES

Naitala ang higit 4,600 bagong kaso ng human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) sa bansa sa unang quarter ng 2026, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH).

Batay sa datos mula sa HIV and AIDS Surveillance of the Philippines, nasa 4,633 bagong HIV cases ang naitala noong Enero hanggang Marso. Mas mataas ito kumpara sa naitalang kaso sa parehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.

Ayon sa DOH, nasa 1,104 o 24% sa naturang bilang ang may advanced HIV sa oras ng kanilang diagnosis.

Naitala sa National Capital Region ang pinakamataas na bilang ng HIV infections na may 989 kaso. Sinundan ito ng CALABARZON, Central Luzon, Soccsksargen, at Davao Region. | via One News
