INSTEAD OF WATCHING AN HOUR OF NETFLIX TONIGHT.
This 1 hour Stanford lecture by Joel Peterson will teach you more about negotiation and getting what you want than most people learn in years.
Bookmark it and give it an hour, no matter what.
Stop trying to prove yourself to people.
Just live your life.
If they really cared, you wouldn't have to prove anything.
Do what you need to do because you want to do it or because it's necessary, but not to earn someone's approval.
Last week, a man died because he was “right.”
He was driving straight. His lane was clear. His speed was normal. He did nothing wrong.
Then suddenly, a bus jumped the median without warning.
The bus driver was wrong. Everyone agreed.
But the man in the car was the one they buried.
This is the first rule of defensive driving most Nigerian drivers don’t understand:
Never assume the other driver will do the right thing.
On Nigerian roads, assumptions can kill you.
That driver in front of you without brake lights?
He can stop suddenly.
That okada rider squeezing between cars?
He can fall.
That truck with shaky containers?
It can drop.
That driver indicating left?
He may still turn right.
Defensive driving is not about proving you are right.
It is about staying alive.
Many drivers approach the road with pride.
“If he tries nonsense, I will show him.”
But defensive drivers approach the road with awareness.
“If he tries nonsense, I will be ready.”
The graveyard is full of drivers who had the right of way.
Pride doesn’t stop accidents.
Preparation does.
The Federal Road Safety Corps can not sit beside every driver.
So you must protect yourself.
Slow down when you see danger early.
Increase your distance.
Watch behaviour, not signals.
Expect mistakes.
Because on Nigerian roads, the best driver is not the fastest.
It is the one who arrives home.
Drive safely

How Rhoda Jatau, a Christian mother of five children was unjustly jailed in Bauchi for one and a half years for condeming the killing of Deborah Samuel.
(Part Two)
After intense international and local pressure, she was granted bail in December 2023, even though she had been arrested in May 2022.
She was fully acquitted of all charges by a Bauchi State High Court in December 2024. The judge ruled that the prosecution failed to provide sufficient evidence that she committed any crime.
It is important to note at this point that when Rhoda was unjustly imprisoned for 18 months, the president was a Muslim, the governor was a Muslim, the chief judge was a Muslim, the chief justice of Nigeria was a Muslim, the commissioner of police was a Muslim, the IG of police was a Muslim, and the director of the DSS in Nigeria was a Muslim.
This case was known worldwide. International organisations reported on it and came to Nigeria because of it.
Yet this Christian woman spent one and a half years in prison for no crime.
We are talking about a Christian woman with five children jailed for one and a half years just to appease Islamic extremists in Nigeria.
In my opinion what they were saying to Christians is that "as long as we are in power, if we kill you and you criticise us, we will lock you up, and there is nothing that your useless cowardly greedy Christian leaders, brothers, sisters, churches or traditional rulers can do about it.
Back to the story.
After it was confirmed that those who arrested and jailed her had no evidence to prove the charges, you would expect that Rhoda would be compensated and the state held responsible for infringing on her rights.
Well, let me shock you.
There is no record that Rhoda, a mother of five children who lost her job and spent one and a half years in jail for no crime, was never compensated. Till today.
And what of the people who locked her up?
None of the people who arrested her and kept her locked up for one and a half years faced any disciplinary action or charges.
Till today.
What of the Terrorists who burned Christian homes in Bauchi
There is no documented public record showing that those arrested were successfully prosecuted and convicted in court. Till today.
And what happened to those Christians whose homes were burned for no fault of theirs by Muslims Terrorists.
There is also no evidence of reported compensation for victims whose homes and properties were burned.
The End.
Many Christians believe that this is the dream of the Muslim extremists in Nigeria: to be in power so that they can kill and oppress Christians until they take over the country.
And any Christian who thinks this is not their business is just plain stupid.
The woman in the Image is Mrs. Rhoda
I’ve just returned from Nigeria’s killing fields.
Pastors burned alive. Entire villages erased.
Yet the world is barely paying attention.

BREAKING: It has now been nearly a month since 173 people were kidnapped from Church service last Sunday.
How is this not a bigger story?
173 innocent Christians kidnapped by Islamists.
Please, watch this, everyone. The Muslim terrorist opens with: “Bismillah as-salatu wa as-salamu ‘ala Rasul Allah.”
It means: “In the name of Allah. Prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.”
Boko Haram is showing the captives in Kwara and saying they did it in the name of Allah and Mohammad.
Dear Nigerian church, please, wake up and do something. The Muslims are on the move. They will kill us all.
Please, do something.
Some years ago, I was in Usman Danfodio University about to start a pre-degree program.
The problem was, I did not have any accommodation. As at the time I arrived in the school, the hall that was given to predegree students in the female hostel for medical students was packed.
I remember walking to some Hausa girls to ask if I could squat anywhere and they just looked at me like an alien
I can never forget that day
I was having the worst cramps of my life.
I stood there just dazed and confused.
I looked for a bench somewhere and just sat.
I looked to heaven and whispered with all the strength I could muster “Lord, help me. Show me mercy”
I just sat there staring.
A lady walked past me and entered one of the rooms. A few minutes later she walked out again.
She looked and me and said “why are you sitting here alone”?
I didn’t know her from Adam
I told her I was a predegree student and I had no where to stay.
She said ok and went back into her room.
She came out again and said “go and bring your things”
Just like that. No questions. She didn’t know me.
I remember going to a corner and crying so hard my entire body shook because I simply couldn’t believe what just happened.
And she took me into the main student room that had fans and refrigerators.
I stayed there comfortably for one whole year.
Till today, anytime I’m stranded, I remember Sokoto, I remember how that Jehovah whispered to a stranger to help His daughter and my faith is strengthened
PS: I pray for that lady till today, may she never be stranded in life.
Amen!
💔💔💔💔How a Granite Pot Almost Cost Me My Life
For the past five months, I have been in and out of the hospital. Every visit came with different test results, different explanations, and no clear answers. It was exhausting and terrifying.
I became a shadow of myself.
I would wake up in the middle of the night crying and praying, begging God to spare my life. I fasted constantly. I cried almost every day. I felt like I was slowly dying inside, even though I couldn’t explain exactly what was wrong.
My body began to change. I noticed excess fat all over, and I assumed I was simply gaining weight. But deep down, I knew something wasn’t right. I was weak. I collapsed several times. I kept taking different treatments, hoping something would work but nothing truly changed.
Then last week, my aunt came to visit. She noticed the pot I was using and asked, “I hope you’re not using that pot for your customers?”
I told her no because the pots were small, so I only used them for personal cooking at home.
She immediately told me to stop using them and to observe my body for a month.
I wasn’t fully convinced, but I listened.
Since the day I stopped using that pot, I have felt a difference. The weakness reduced. I stopped collapsing. I began to regain my strength. I started feeling like myself again.
It was that serious.
Now, I’m committed to taking my medications consistently and giving my body the care it deserves so I can fully recover.
This experience humbled me. It reminded me how fragile life is, and how sometimes, the smallest things can silently affect us in the biggest ways.
God truly saved me.
REMEMBERING MARTYRS: In February of 2015, 21 men were killed by ISIS on a beach in Libya. They could have saved their lives by accepting Islam, but knowing what awaited them, they chose Christ. Christians around the world continue to draw inspiration from their faith.
The Catholic priests of Jalingo, today staged a peaceful protest against the constant killing of Christians in Taraba by the Fulani terrorists.
