@zoasterino @theKoalaKoa The enclosure wasn't promised when I bought it, but I found out about the power connector while I was waiting, and I might have cancelled my order but being told that it would ship with the protective enclosure was a major reassurance, and made me feel confident in my purchase.

@MichaelToole I tracked down the guy responsible for the sub recently, because one of my counterparts wants to reexperience it. The guy still has the master SVHS. I tried to see if I could get a copy, but a combination of lack of hardware and my being an internet rando resulted in a dead end.

@Zap629 The jump from standard def to HD was definitely a big step, but going from the graphic capabilities of the PS1 to the PS2 felt monumental at the time. There will never be a point in time that "next gen" doesn't immediately bring the PS2 launch hype to mind.

@David_Jaffer Number of Armored Core games released since 1997: 16. Number of Armored Core games you can legally purchase firsthand, benefiting the publishers/developers: 2... sort of. Aside from Armored Core VI, the only other game you can buy is Verdict Day, but only digitally for Xbox 360.
