Any ideas on how the school library can help ‘stretch/challenge’ students in the maths department? I’m helping a friend to get a few ideas for a twilight session they have to run! Any thoughts (not even maths based!) would be appreciated! Thanks! @boss_maths @mathsjem
@boss_maths Thank you! They are trying to find out though if libraries in schools can be more useful to departments beyond a reading list and a space for activities run by a department. Tricky through!
I just remembered that bowland maths existed and discovered the assessment tasks that I had never noticed before and then discovered @mathsjem blog from years ago on more hidden treasures! Looking forward to using them all!

I’m looking for some good KS3 workbooks (not CGP or Corbett). Anybody know any good ones? For independent practice for students. Thanks in advance if anyone has any recommendations ! @mathsjem@atulrana
We start every foundation lesson with a booklet of ten 1&2 mark questions, aimed at repetition. Builds up in difficulty in both calc & non-calc topics. 80 pages worth. Seems to help reduce errors at the start of papers. Feel free to take a look. https://t.co/qdPT8P7UDu
Asking for a friend, RTs appreciated. Any maths teachers with KS3 and 4 experience available from after half term and keen for a few weeks or more sickness cover (online from home of course!) for a leading independent school?
Does anyone know any website that lets you do a real time survey/vote please? To ask the students a yes/no question and see the results live. Not held on Zoom and no registration for site required by students! Thanks in advance! @mathsjem@atulrana@DrFrostMaths
I’m looking for some good maths SAT (America not UK year 6) resources. Does anyone have any good links/books etc please? Thanks! #SAT#maths#math#resources
Just watching a documentary about the Dambusters on @channel5_tv with @thehistoryguy and there is a really cool mathematical part about how they built a scale model of the dam near Watford to help model the mission. Amazing! @mathsjem
Prompt 23: How do you describe subtracting a negative?
(thanks to @StudyMaths for the brilliant directed counter online manipulatives)

Any other methods to help describe this?
@mathsjem Yes I’m sure I would have found them on yours! Where I found nearly everything nowadays 😂😍 I think @boss_maths has found the blog! Thanks both!!
