@HalfSpaceMC Incredible forethought. Always thinking about how he can win the ball back in a way which allows him to keep the ball and play forward. Countless times yesterday he shut down Rashfords channel and won a goal kick rather than just making a tackle. Quality player.
Carrick has to go. United are only effective on the counter attack, which every team is good at as its the easiest way of playing. Utd won't get near serious trophies with him in charge.
Semenyo, as on Tuesday, didn't have his best game. He looks less effective in this system than with the left-back pushing into midfield to support. He will need some good performances as Doku returns from injury. I expect Maresca to revert to inverting the LB against Sunderland.
Matheus Nunes was exceptional. One of the most improved players I've ever seen which is a testament to his character. He was left with a lot of ground to cover as Utd pushed Dorgu high and wide and looked to find him with the switch. Often left 2vs1, he dealt with this so well.
Elliot Anderson was incredible and has been all season so far. Covers ground better than anyone. Extremely strong in duels but without giving away many fouls, something which is very rare. Top signing and a top player for years to come.
Bouaddi actually reminds me of Busquets. Unparalleled composure and has already mastered the skill of using my an opponents momentum against them to turn out of pressure. Scans constantly and always has a complete picture in his head. As high a ceiling as nearly anyone out there.
