a wet sponge
sopping from absorption
reluctant to be wrung
the world proven unsafe
the chemicals contained
sealed within its porousness
should not be released
make mutants of humans
so what to do
but to bask in the sun
and dry out

Silo full
Waterfall
Add another barrel
Sustainable
Less chemical
Clean nibi revival
Takes a toll
Intentional
Killing what is tribal
Environmental
Genocide
Water for Survival

If I lead,
can I be free?
To say the words,
that make me…me.
Or will I have to cover tracks,
Like Danny Torrance
in snowy tracks.
Words with weight,
no idle game.
Notoriety
that’s equivalent to fame.
Swimming parallel to the sea,
In a rip current is where I be.

@jessforbiden 🙋🏽♀️ I had Covid. Still feel the repercussions 8 months later. My mom and her BF got Covid. My Grandma barely survived COVID. My cousin got Covid from the nursing home she works in. My daughter in law just recovered from Covid and is having a hard time with fatigue and her senses.
Speak like an arrow,
shooting straight for the heart.
Leave no room for interpretation,
let sand be sand.
Sing like your words are an axe,
chopping wood for your warmth.
Make your movement like waves,
magnetic motion.
For then,
we all shall see you.
I knew love once,
Music blaring,
Off key but nsync,
Laughter filled the bedroom,
the living room,
the wall,
Smiling across the room,
People filled & gazing at each other,
Sometimes our collective voice,
Was the only one that echoed.
@patiencezalanga I did this in a bathrobe. Pressed every button on my apartment building to get in. I’ve locked my keys in my car while it was still running in the middle of winter during work hours on my lunch break.
I went to my first protest against the Redskins when I was four. It’s always the same fight, and it’s tiring.
I won’t celebrate a name change before it even happens. It’s shameful that native folks still have to fight to be seen as humans.
@MadreTeRosa People commonly do shrooms in WA state, there was also a study where they used shrooms to reverse the affects of depression on some patients. I’ll see if I can find it.
Been reflecting a lot. 17 years later Father’s day is still hard and I find myself still coming to terms with my grief. So I tried to direct my emotion with a poem. https://t.co/jbHeaSdRqw
Inherit Fruit
Hand over my mouth,
Taped up yet I can breath,
Peach tones, red bones,
Generational memories that I bleed.

It's been 93 days since Breonna Taylor was murdered and the only arrest made in relation to her death was the arrest of her partner, who was charged for defending himself against the intruders invading their home.
