हा अपघात टाळता आला असता; कारण हा खड्डा आणि हा धोका मी आधीच दाखवला होता.

आज दिनांक 31 मे 2026. आपण मुंबई गोवा राष्ट्रीय महामार्गावरील निगडे -पेण येथील त्या धोकादायक ठिकाणी उभे आहोत, जिथल्या खड्ड्याबाबत आम्ही वारंवार संबंधित प्रशासनाला कळवलं, सोशल मीडियावर प्रश्न उपस्थित केले आणि NHAI ला देखील माहिती दिली. त्यावर उत्तर आलं की, “आपण हा मुद्दा निदर्शनास आणून दिल��याबद्दल धन्यवाद.”

पण माझा प्रश्न आहे – जेव्हा हा खड्डा याआधी अनेक वेळा दाखवला गेला, तेव्हा तो तातडीने का भरला गेला नाही?

आज याच ठिकाणी हा अपघात झाला आहे. सुदैवाने वाहनातील प्रवाशांना जीवदान मिळालं. गाडीचं मोठं नुकसान झालं आहे आणि प्रवाशांना किरकोळ दुखापत झाली आहे. त्यांच्या कुटुंबातील कार्यक्रमासाठी ते प्रवास करत होते, पण एका खड्ड्यामुळे त्यांचा संपूर्ण प्रवास आणि नियोजन विस्कळीत झ���लं.

अपघातानंतर पोलीस यंत्रणा आली, सरकारी यंत्रणा कामाला लागली, वेळ गेला, संसाधने वापरली गेली. हे सर्व टाळता आलं नसतं का?

आज येथे चारचाकी वाहन होतं म्हणून प्रवासी वाचले. पण याच ठिकाणी एखादा दुचाकीस्वार असता, त्याने हेल्मेट घातलेलं नसतं, तर परिणाम किती गंभीर झाला असता याची कल्पनाही करवत नाही.

प्रश्न फक्त एका खड्ड्याचा नाही. प्रश्न आहे निष्काळजीपणाचा. प्रश्न आहे वेळेवर कारवाई न होण्याचा. आणि प्रश्न आहे मानवी जीवांच्या सुरक्षेचा.

अपघात झाल्यानंतर हालचाल करण्यापेक्षा, अपघात होण्याआधी उपाययोजना करणे अधिक महत्त्वाचे नाही का?

संबंधित प्रशासन, ठेकेदार आणि जबाबदार यंत्रणांनी याचा गांभीर्याने विचार करावा. कारण प्रत्येक वेळी नशीब साथ देईल��� असं नाही.

एक नागरिक म्हणून माझी जबाबदारी मी पार पाडत आहे. पण नागरिकांचे जीव सुरक्षित ठेवण्याची जबाबदारी नेमकी कोणाची?
