on the note of phone free shows: a LARGE majority of my friends (im in hs) are barely allowed to go to shows in general.
lots of parents wont let their kids go to a show they cant be easily contacted at.
phone free shows make live music less accessible towards younger fans
@atwtmvstan no assigned seats in ga. if there were an emergency causing evacuation, youd want to contact someone after but you CANT cuz they cant unlock them all that fast. we live in a phone reliant society where many things require phones now, to ban them makes the shows less accessible
@atwtmvstan theres also a lot of other concerns though - in the case of an emergency, nobody has access to their phones, if you lose your group, you cant contact them, etc. theres a lot of concerns that come with having no phones in a world accustomed to them
@atwtmvstan but we're all accustomed to having it and medical devices have changed to maych that - theyre now made to work with phones, and that wont change because artists dont want people recording. considering that we DO use phones for medical reasons now, it is a concern
@atwtmvstan yep! someone having a medical EMERGENCY can always walk themselves through the stairs, wait a few more seconds to get their phone unlocked, and THEN get help !!! no urgency needed !
@hloverry im kinda stressed about it with ga because in front, you cant easily just get someone to unlock it in the back. also heartbroken because it may make me unable to go (my mom will be on call so cant go, and is discussing with my dad letting me go without an easy way contact me...)
