In this episode of Know Your CEO, we will be looking at Emmanuel Nwabuikwu Nnorom.

Born on 17th April, 1958, he belongs to a generation of Nigerian corporate leaders who emerged from the disciplined world of Accounting and Banking into the strategic helm of one of Africa’s largest conglomerates. From decades of transformation in Nigeria’s financial sector to becoming the Group Chief Executive Officer of Heirs Holdings, which is currently one of Africa’s most influential investment companies.

While his Igbo heritage is widely recognized, reliable sources provide few details about his parents, siblings, marital life, or the number of children he has. Like his contemporaries, Emmanuel’s early family life is visibly sparse. This therefore showed that there is a deliberate maintenance of the boundary between professional visibility and personal privacy.

His academic journey is also scarce, as the public details of his primary or secondary schooling or undergraduate institution remain under the radar. However, He is known to have become a chartered Accountant at a very early stage of his career and later became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). Also, it's on record that he expanded his education internationally by attending Templeton College at Oxford University, where he pursued advanced management training that helped broaden his strategic outlook beyond traditional accounting into global corporate leadership.

His professional career started in the Nigerian banking and financial industry, occupying roles which include;
General Manager of Operations at Standard Trust Bank.
General Manager of Finance and Planning at NUB International Bank.
Divisional Head of External Reporting at United Bank for Africa (UBA).

After almost 5years of great work and sacrifices, My contract at SeamlessHR came to an end on the 30th of January, 2026.

A journey that started in 2021 as a mid-level back-end engineer to senior level, and lastly as a technical lead. It was indeed a good run.

I had the opportunity of working with the payroll team before moving to integrations where I spear-headed a wide range of integrations internally and externally.

I am grateful to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to work with brilliant minds over the years in a healthy institution.
