Wow, they killed it. I loved playing this champion in League. Was hoping for Box slow shenanigans but the lantern swaps are executed so well I'm here for it.
Lee Sin, Evelyn, or Elise next please 🙏
Ragnarok is bad not because of dumb reactionary culture war stuff, but because the game is so incredibly shallow. They neglected the psychological development established by the prior title to serve a nakedly contrived plot while having almost no real conversation with the myths.
@XanozIchimonji We got a related species here in the States. They can be found all over the southern half of the country, from coast to coast. They're little guys, only about as big as a fingernail, and orb weavers too, so they make nice webs. We call them crab spiders here in Florida.
@_saintcola And he could do ridiculously creative plays by combining them. Look up Madlife for examples
You could also be a dick and block paths with the lantern since it was coded as a minion lol
Utterly criminal this character isn't in 2XKO yet, Lee Sin too.
@_saintcola His Ultimate was the Box. Each of the walls would break on contact but inflict damage and a 99% slow. A good Thresh would drop the box on *top* of you, forcing contact with a wall, then flay and hook you into other walls when the first one wore off, preventing escape. (cont)
@Arlieth That dressing is so damn good. Half the time we do pulled pork sandwiches, we toss some greens in the kewpie and then do some Bachan Roasted garlic sauce on the pork.
@emezie Yeah I think too many people take raw reaction time and apply that to an open game state where anything can happen. Lot of us can react to block meaty collarbone breaker on wake up, but damn sure all of us have gotten hit by a Ryu just walking up and doing it at some point
A haibun is a prose poem with an ending hokku, the term for haiku back in the day when they were primarily the first verse of Renga poems. Basho famously invented the haibun form for his travelogues.
Here is the whole haibun, translated by Nobuyuki Yuasa.
Wow, it just dawned on me after 30 years the subtitle of SFA1 might come from an ending hokku of a haibun in Narrow Road to the Deep North by Basho :
夏草や兵どもが夢の跡
Carter's translation:
Summer grasses—
all that is left to us now
of warriors' dreams.
@Laban9898@D3Vlicious 100%. You brown the meats first, then Trinity, then add uncooked rice, then broth. Almost every culture thats eats rice has this technique of tossing rice in fat and aromatics before cooking in broth, called pilaf in English (by way of Persian). Folks need to get out more.
@jchensor Not to my knowledge. Spiral was far more a magic oriented character in the comics who happened to use swords, too. She did different dances to cast spells, and was a cadidate for Sorcerer Supreme. If they implemented her style fully she would have played more like Dormammu.
@Un1d_ With how play is actually split between ranked, lobby, battle hub, training, locals, and majors, your "1.2k hours" isn't telling us much.
In general only in one of those things are you actually practicing qcfs, the rest you're executing that training.
@arone1@Arlieth the instinct came from red-eye gravy, and yeah you could probably use Vegemite if you want a strong savory note, it's just yeast extract. Big ol' glutamic acid bomb
