@BohunickaNikola I'd like to think I've been fairly appreciative of Jonas and I'm a Pog fan. Acknowledging Jonas' (and MDVP's) greatness actually enhances Pog's greatness, I don't get that need to put down everyone else. Then again, every great athlete has some bad fans (including Pog&Jonas)
@zenmaster_onion@AlfredDraxler@TheBorisBecker WTF? Alcaraz und Sinner sind eine Klasse besser als der Rest der Tour und haben auch ein signifikant höheres Max-Level. Wenn die ihr Top-Niveau abrufen, gibt es genau einen Spieler, der mithalten kann: der jeweils andere.
@mou55981652 Winning stages, helping Philipsen win stages and the green jersey for the team, collecting UCI points for the team. Besides, nothing wrong with being a great specialist. Most great cyclists in history were specialists, very few exceptions
@RudigerJochen@Ogerbiss Sie kann singen, aber den Song vergewaltigt sie schon ordentlich. Wenn man den von Lzzy F'n Hale gewohnt ist, tut das echt weh.
@mou55981652 No one does all important races that he can win. In 2024, Pog didn't do Flanders+LBL+Roubaix because he did the Giro. Were those races less important back then? Obviously not.
@mou55981652 There has been quite a long period where a lot of the best didn't compete at monuments. So also irrelevant by that logic (obviously not the case). Compare cycling to other endurance sports, not F1. No one does all the major marathons, yet they are all important in that world
@mou55981652 Yeah, so? This "the only races that matter are those that Pog is in" thing is not commonly accepted, it's a Mou thing. Winning World Tour races matters, winning Grand Tours matters a lot. Pog is the GOAT but he is not the only great or valuable rider.
@mou55981652 Vingegaard wins lots of races so no. But in general, a top sprinter is worth more than a solid GC rider. A few stage wins are more valuable than a solid GC result, no one cares about that.
PS: and Vingegaard will be third, not fourth. ;)
@BohunickaNikola As a Pog fan obviously not the favorite but best and most impressive is by far Roubaix. Third most important race (after Tour and Worlds) and against all the best classics guys.
@minopapi1 Sinner is more consistent than Alcaraz. If both are having a 100% day, Alcaraz wins (in 5 sets). Sinner most certainly has the highest floor, though. It's not like they are far apart though, they are basically on the same level.
