My graduate-level ethics course at Texas A&M was canceled after I refused to censor discussions of race, gender, and sexuality—core issues in ethical decision-making in public service.

Ethics is about people, power, and real-world consequences. Asking an ethics professor to erase identity from the classroom isn’t neutrality. It’s dishonesty.

I was pressured to script a discussion-based graduate course shaped by current events. When I refused to lie or undermine academic integrity, the response was retaliation, cancellation and a chilling message to faculty.

This is bigger than one class. It’s about academic freedom and the future of higher education.

🇺🇸 I for one, stared today, as I start most day. I unraveled the flag of the United States of America. I took a moment to remember those who sacrificed their lives of us. I think of our country.

Then I stand with my hand over my chest and pledge,

“I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it states. One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all

“who can afford it”

I whisper “who can afford it”. I composed threes four (4) words a leasing already learned. I have recalled this situation about American life since the early day’s after JFK’s assassination. The Declaration of reminds me today as every day since I was an eleven (11) year old prorogue of President J. F. Kennedy and student of American History
