Nah, their issue is they're just white as fuck lol. Individually and as a team they've had plenty of good stories. Early All-New X-Men is arguably one of the only truly interesting X-Men comics post Schism and pre-Krakoa (aloneside some "revolutionary" Cyclops stories).
“everyone can write”
no everyone can’t write. this is why ppl feel entitled to being called writers/authors. yes writing is accessible in the sense that it requires very little upfront cost for materials, but it is still a skill not everyone has or will have
@arakkosuperstar "totally different characters" at least pretend you're interested in having a real discussion about the differences between the characters in the adaptation vs the comics instead of this nonsensical statement.
@arakkosuperstar I'm well aware of her history. The comics destroy it. The show doesn't touch on it and changes Maddie's origins because Jean survives the DPS in the original TAS. Maddie fundamentally cannot have the same origins and exact storylines because of that.
@arakkosuperstar You couldve spent 2 minutes reading the rest of responses in that thread where I clarified my points instead of assuming I'm an idiot who hasn't read anything. My point was that the character was treated horribly during Inferno while the show treats her better.
@AtlantisFell@aldmerblood@cyclopsiryn More happens to her in the comics than the show, but that's true of every adapted storyline in the show. The comics are always more fleshed out. I just don't buy that Maddie had some complex arc there that the show didn't at least give lip service to, brief as it was.
Calling her a "storage unit" because you don't like the depiction of her sleeping with multiple people is incredibly misogynistic. And you get nothing but other scum agreeing with you and calling her a slut/whore.
