@Jared_Tims@TalkinHalos Perhaps there should be no Sporting events of any kind on Memorial Day, and instead, only events to honor and remember the greatest sacrifice made in service to our country. TF, US Army Retired.
@TrentRushSports@Angels
When do we start worrying Soriano might get traded? It's early days and he's doing great for the team. If the team doesn't do well/better he's a tempting target for other teams.
American Journalist SHATTERS the Biggest Myth About Islam
Islam is not merely a personal faith, but a comprehensive political and legal system that explicitly rejects core principles of Western liberal democracy.
While Western audiences are repeatedly told “Islam is a religion of peace,” classical Islamic law includes punishments for apostasy, blasphemy, homosexuality, and adultery—punishments that remain enforced in multiple Muslim-majority countries today.
These are not extremist distortions. They are mainstream interpretations upheld by state-backed religious authorities in places like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, and Qatar.
The media’s refusal to acknowledge this reality has allowed a false narrative to flourish—one that equates any examination of Islamic doctrine with racism, despite Islam being an ideology followed by people of many races.
The term Islamophobia has become a rhetorical weapon, not a descriptor. Its purpose is to shut down debate about Islamic ideas.
No other belief system enjoys this level of insulation. Christianity, capitalism, socialism, feminism, and even atheism are all subject to harsh criticism in mainstream media. Islam, however, is treated as uniquely fragile—so fragile that facts themselves are labeled “hate.”
This double standard has serious consequences. When journalists self-censor, the public is deprived of informed discussion. When politicians refuse to acknowledge doctrinal realities, policy failures follow—particularly on issues of integration, free speech, and women’s rights.
Women’s Rights: The Uncomfortable Reality
One of the most striking points raised was the status of women under traditional Islamic law. In many Islamic legal systems, a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man. Inheritance laws favor male relatives. A husband may divorce his wife unilaterally, while women face significant legal hurdles.
Again, these are not fringe interpretations. They are codified law in numerous countries and justified explicitly through religious texts.
Western activists often blame “culture” or “colonialism” for these practices, but Islamic jurisprudence itself is the source. Pretending otherwise does not help Muslim women—it silences them.
Criticism Is Not Hatred
Criticizing Islam is not the same as attacking Muslims.
@Topps@WNYCards IMO, both priceless and worthless Collectibles are only valuable to those who want to buy or sell. For one who desires ownership but can't find an owner willing to sell, priceless. It's equally worthless for owners unwilling to sell.
It’s not goodbye.
It’s see you later.
