@thegoalkeeper@PhillyInquirer FIFA gets what it wants... A puff piece to promote its upcoming games in the hopes of selling tickets. No mention of how many tickets have been sold.
OPEN THE GATES
The gatekeepers (US Soccer and SUM) have lost the battle to prevent foreign leagues from playing games in the USA. Who's going to have the honor of being the first official game played here?

This sounds about right for the Club World Cup. No offense to TNT, but the #FIFACWC is a second-rate tournament, so putting some of the games on TNT is where the competition is at right now.
FIFA and DAZN need a broadcaster to promote the competition, and TNT does the trick.
I’m no longer in charge of running World Soccer Talk, but this isn’t a goodbye.
After selling World Soccer Talk in 2022 and transitioning the site to the new owners, I’ve accepted a position at a different company.
WST will continue without me. Thank you everyone. Cheers!
What's more surprising? Apple running an ad on Google's Android store to promote #MLSSeasonPass, or the fact that the ad features Messi (even though he won't be playing)?
@Futballistic @zanelowe There was a Spaniard, I forgot his name, on Twitch who did a one-on-one interview with Messi a couple of years ago that was far better than this one done by Apple. That's definitely worth checking out too.
What's the point of interviewing Messi if he has nothing interesting to say and the questions asked feel very scripted?
Here's my review of the much-hyped @zanelowe interview with #Messi available on Apple Music:

The tables have turned for both Liverpool and Manchester United. My thoughts on the battle for the right to be seen as the most successful club in English soccer history:

My latest article for @worldsoccertalk. This one focuses on why MLS should play games overseas. If NFL is doing it and LaLiga is close to finalizing it, why not MLS?

How does President Trump aligning himself with Putin impact Russia's hopes of returning to World Cup tournaments in the future? Here's my latest article for @worldsoccertalk

If you like goals, there were plenty of them across MLS this weekend.
The bad news is that most of them came from defensive blunders. You could make an entire blooper reel from this weekend's #MLSisBack mistakes.
Sunday Night Soccer? More like Sunday Night Snooze.
Poor first half by LA Galaxy and San Diego on Apple TV's #MLSSeasonPass.
Let's hope the second half is improved.
MLS 360 is the best thing going for Major League Soccer. It's still a really entertaining whip-around show that benefits from so many games happening at the same time.
#MLS360 is a GOAL-FEST on @AppleTV
@BayouCityFish@worldsoccertalk@AppleTV The actual soccer action in the series is good. I liked the series overall, but I'm not a fan of the name of the series. Onside is too bland.
