He tripped over his own feet. Now he's wallowing in self pity.

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
I'm here. Let's make the best of things again. ( He whispers. )

Shall I get you a coffee?
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( He can't help it. Stede's just so warm next to him, so soft. Izzy clings melting like butter. ) Missed you too.
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( At least Izzy isn't too pissed off with him that he doesn't want to cuddle. Fingers card through his hair, leg pushing between Izzy's. ) Missed you.
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( Izzy wriggles closer with a small pleased sound as he's finally able to hide his face on Stede's neck. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( A small smile forms at the kiss, fingers pressing against the small of Izzy's back, pushing him to get even closer. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( The hand almost makes him forget his anger. His hands slip around his waist burying himself further into Stede. Kissing his shoulder. This bed felt too big while he was away. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
Oh, Izzy...
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

@thegentlebonnet
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
... Yeah. ( For a brief moment, he forgot Izzy was still pissed off with him. He sighs, fingers sliding into the pirate's hair. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

Well, next time think twice before fucking off. Think about all you're losing. ( Izzy closes his eyes once again, maybe five minutes won't be that long. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
I slept very well. ( Arms tighten around the man. ) Forgot how easy sleeping is, with you.
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

What about you? ( His hands find the other man's hips as he nuzzles against the man, comfortable and happy. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
Good. ( Fingers trace the man's back. Touching scars. He's never leaving this man again. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

Yes, pretty well. ( he places a kiss to his shoulder forgetting the lost months. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( When Izzy turns, both arms wrap around the man. Now kissing the top of his head. )

Did you sleep well...?
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( He hums at the kiss, he quite liked that. Izzy moves turning to press his head against his shoulder. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
Five more minutes won't hurt. ( He murmurs, pressing a kiss to Izzy's neck. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( He shakes his head, still with his eyes closed. ) There's work to be done.
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
Hey. ( He whispers, arm tightening around the other man. ) We can stay in bed a little while longer.
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( He feels the other man stirring and his only response is to groan. He doesn't want to wake up today. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( Stede wakes up too early for his liking. He only cuddles closer, stiffling a yawn. He really did miss sleeping with Izzy. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( He stays awake for a while. Feeling Stede's heartbeat against his back. Izzy doesn't know how much time passes until he nods off to sleep. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( Stede closes his eyes. Glad to have Izzy back in his arms again. Yawning, he nuzzles the man. Falling asleep. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( Izzy sighs, places his hands over Stede's. He feels warm with Stede's arms aroun him. His hands find the other man's snuggling back against him. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( Stede moves closer, his arm wrapping around the other pirate. Pressing a little kiss to his shoulder. ) Sleep well.
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( He huffs but turns around. He doesn't know how he's going to react to ... going back. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
( Watching the other man, a small smile is offered when he climbs into bed. He moves closer. ) Turn around?
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( The kiss makes him sigh, he moves to sit down on the edge of the bed and takes off the reminding work wear including boots. Izzy lays down next to Stede, facing him. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
... Alright.

( A sigh, pressing a small kiss to his cheek. Then he moves to lie down in bed, curling up. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

C'mon, Let's get you to bed.

( He says, softly. If he reacted like this to the scar... God, today's going to be a nightmare. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
I know.

( He allows it. Loosening his arms, but still keeping them around Izzy. One hand quickly wiping at his cheeks. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

I've survived worse.

( He tries to wiggle to turn to Stede. To really look t him in the eye. )
ㅤ

[𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐄. 🏳️‍🌈 @thegentlebonnet]

ㅤ
I know you are. But I... I should've been there, you know? What if you weren't fine? ( Oh, yes, he's definitely crying. But he tries not to let it show. Arms tighten. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( The sudden hug startles him but he still places his hands over his arms, leaning back. )

I'm fine.

ㅤ
( Izzy got shot. And he wasn't there. He should have been there. Stede crosses the room, arms wrapping tightly around Izzy from behind. )
ㅤ

[𝙎𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 .ᐟ @IZZYT0ES]

ㅤ

( Izzy turns, not being able to face Stede as he speaks. Maybe he should go back to his lonley room to lick his wounds where no one can see him. )

A raid gone wrong, and I ... got shot.
