Late at night, a Russian woman landed in India and took a cab from the airport. As she got in, the driver looked at her and politely asked, "Madam, do you know English? Please show me the OTP."
She knew only a little English, so she showed him the OTP.
The driver then asked, "Is this your first time in India? Are you travelling alone?"
She smiled, nodded, and said, "I'm hungry. Is any pizza shop still open?"
A few minutes later, the driver stopped near a hotel, went inside for two minutes, and came back. The woman started feeling a little nervous. Since it was her first visit to India, she sent the cab details to her husband, just to be safe.
Soon, the driver returned with a fresh pizza, handed it to her, and continued the journey. When they reached her hotel, he helped her with the directions to the entrance.
Relieved and touched by his kindness, the woman smiled, paid the fare, the cost of the pizza, and even offered him an extra ₹1,000 as a tip.
The driver politely returned the extra money, folded his hands, and said, "Atithi Devo Bhava"—which means "The guest is like God."
The woman was deeply moved. After checking into her room, she went live on social media and shared the entire experience. She praised the driver's honesty and kindness and said, "Next time, I'll definitely come back to India with my husband."

2,73,183 candidates.
I won't sugarcoat it. The fight is brutal & it's not even fair - The seats people actually want are far fewer than the crowd chasing them.
The only honest advice after seeing this number: STUDY HARD. That part is still yours. 29 days to change your destiny.
Yesterday my father retired after 33+ years of serving in Govt Danteshwari PG Girls college where he taught Hindi.
We attended his farewell with his colleagues, seniors, juniors and students. It was a formal ceremony, but what stayed with me wasn’t the speeches it was the memories people chose to share ❤️
Each of the faculties came ahead and shared their experiences with my father along the journey. Some even had tears. It was a mixed feeling amongst everyone. But what did strike in my head was the simplicity. People recalled their evening tea and Parle G routine, badminton sessions after the college hours, tree plantation, Sahitya Samiti meetings, how he would help juniors etc. Someone even wrote a poem for him and recited it.
They had planned a lunch in the campus with all the students. All I could see around was true emotions.
As I walked around the campus, I saw a building that had aged with time. Probably my father saw it age with time. Probably they all had accepted it with all the flaws and the people there kept it alive. I also saw an almond tree which was planted by his junior on his birthday 13 years ago. Today it stands fully grown, with a small sitting area built around it.
This tree shall have its place probably till that junior faculty also retires.
Just before we left, a clerk rushed in. He had missed the farewell lunch because he was busy typing a seven-page letter for my father. He told my father that he was busy getting a letter typed for my father coz his writing is poor.
It was filled with all the memories between him and my father which even included how my father gave chocolates to his children. It was fun to read. I am sure no GPT was used.
I felt like an outsider to this family of my father which was happy. The family which seemed to have found a way to be happy inspite of all the flaws around it. They valued inter personal relationships and celebrated small events. Titles retire but relationships don't.
My father ended his speech with a line which meant something like-
I never gave you anything which wasn't already yours. Whatever I had, came from you and the experiences we had.
That is the life of a teacher, poet and a thinker.
Happy retirement Papa 🥳
We all are proud of your journey.
Legacy isn't what you achieve. It is what people remember when you are no longer expected to show up ✨
@Piyush_mi Loude police wale ghayal huve to ye kya bolega?
