@jimntale@KagutaMuseveni Naye mwe basajja mwe muliina ekikyamu. Abusing the law is absolutely okay to you. He shouldn’t be a Minister. Period its against the Law. By the look of things the god your are turning to now, Mr Appointing power does sit ministers as much as he can unsit them . Parliament does.
Very emotional story. But the law says you can’t be a minister with dual citizenship. You either hold only Ugandans citizenship and the ministerial position. Or maintain your dual citizenship status but then respect the country’s laws you so Loyal to and don’t assume the position
"Before I came here, I definitely had two citizenships—that's the Ugandan citizenship and the Canadian citizenship. Like every young person who really aspires to do better, you leave this country and you go to different countries, trying to work there, and you get some money, you help your people you left back home. You help your brothers, your sisters, your parents, and even the friends. So, that is me…. many Ugandans do that. And as I speak right now, there are some who are at the airport leaving the country. Before you know, they will have citizenships of other countries. But that does not take away one's love for the country. I am Ugandan…Uganda is my country”- The Vice Chancellor of @VUKampala, Dr Lawrence Muganga who was appointed as the State Minister for Internal Affairs by President @KagutaMuseveni.

@NInnocent29@Sherrytums@VUKampala Hasn’t but let’s look at it in this angle 📐 the fact that the president chooses to list him as a potential minister despite the fact that it’s against the law. Tells you alot about his perception of the law. Lets not forget Museveni erected that law himself (thr NRM
Caucus)2009
@NInnocent29@Sherrytums@VUKampala His appointment abuses the law (according to Citizenship and Immigration control Act). It’s illegal and hypocritical for the fact the jus passed sovereignty bill.
You see the problem is not where people are born its about the respect of the Law. Zohran‘s being Mayor doesn’t happen with the law being broken. He is not held back by duo citizenship. This Gentleman is, according to our laws the fact that he is a Canadian. Is the matter.
It is funny how fast political tunes change on social media.
Not too long ago, foot soldiers were over the moon celebrating Zohran Mamdani making history as the first Ugandan born Mayor of New York City, completely brushing off his dual citizenship. But fast forward to today, and those same supporters are up in arms.
Now, they are complaining and questioning how Dr. Lawrence Muganga can be appointed as the Minister of State for Internal Affairs because of his dual citizenship even though they don't even have their facts straight about it. Apparently, it is a proud moment when an Ugandan wins big abroad, but a massive crisis when a dual citizen gets a major role back home.
@DanielLutaaya@ReachDrMuganga He is a Canadian citizen. He holds dual citizenship. The law views such an individual as one whose loyalty and allegiance as questionable. As guided about in Citizenship and Immigration Control Act of 2009.
@lumbuyefredk He is not, he is a Uganda born. However he can’t serve as a minister being prohibited by the Citizenship and Immigration control Act. For the fact that he is a dual citizen. Being a Canadian. I would advise we avoid tribalistic comments. On the matter based on ethnicity.
@NInnocent29 I don’t understand why someone thinks unlawfully imprisonment are wrong & all other things but this is okay. Parliament passed sovereignty bill only for the president to name people whose loyalty is feared and outlined by our laws not to align with ug as ministers. Its Insane😠
Even without the Grant am owning the farm jus give me 3 to for years . Start counting with next year . The count down is on . With effect of January. We shall be in touch .
Don’t show this video to cattle keepers and Banana farmers! Uganda has 3.5Million Smallholder coffee farmers and our target is 20Million bags by 2030 however with such farms we can achieve 40Million. Would you own such a farm if you received a grant?
The best Gift 🎁 we ever received as a The might African Continent was Oliver Tambo. Selfness best defined. A great fighter. The Engine of the Great revolution against Apartheid. Having characters like him to relate to and idealise reminds us how greatly. Africa has been blessed
