Controlled comp isn’t new. It originated as a label response to artists releasing 20 songs on albums. Prorating/capping mechanical licenses. As a co-writer, you do NOT have to agree to controlled comp. They WILL ask but it’s YOUR asset to protect. Stay strong be fair.
