The UK has the lowest pensions in Europe, the lowest Job Seekers allowance, the lowest sick pay, and Universal Credit is one of the poorest benefits in the EU.
The only decent benefit is Housing Benefit, which goes straight to landlords.
There is no living it up on benefits
This is quite a shocking story by Alan Rusbridger, of how senior Tories fixed the chairmanship of Ofcom - hence the current mess over Ofcom's abject failure to regulate GB News: https://t.co/LYP4qBcmI3
Shows the arrogance of #JamesCleverly that he thinks he knows the law better than Jonathan Sumption, ex-Supreme Court judge and respected as one of the best brains in Britain!

Palantir is buying all the UK NHS data, sorry it is being PAID £480m to steal it all, which is worth billions.
Expect all your life, health, car insurance to skyrocket if you have any medical issues, while you will be bombarded with targeted ads.
A criminal breach of privacy.
Seriously? New Environment Sec has taken money from major backer of a climate-denying think-tank. Why did Barclay accept donation? What discussions has he had with Hintze before & since receiving it? Does he agree with GWPF climate-denial? We need answers

We wouldn’t let tobacco firms fund MPs working in health policy - so why is Govt allowing fossil fuel giants to fund MPs who need to act decisively on tackling #climateemergency? I've signed the No Fossil Funding Pledge - we need a #FossilFreeParliament👇

The National Audit Office claim that the Government have lost up to
£58,000,000,000 to fraud
FIFTY EIGHT BILLION !!
This is why the government wants to talk about migration!

Hello from Ireland.
I hate to remind everybody of that pesky thing called the Belfast Agreement which *requires* the jurisdiction of the ECtHR to function.
Sunak cannot ‘ignore’ ECtHR without abrogating the Agreement.
Can every 🇬🇧 journalist try to absorb that simple fact?
Sunak is after YOUR Human Rights under the right wing veil of illegal immigration.
ECHR introduced after WW2 to protect us from fascism.
In Europe only Russia & Belarus are not a part of it.
Tories want YOUR rights to be under THEIR control by leaving ECHR
@PeterStefanovi2
Those wanting to leave the ECHR say our own govt and domestic law would protect us.
2 things:
1) the ECHR was set up to protect citizens from human rights abuses by THEIR OWN govts
2) our govt has already removed our FoM rights and limited our rights to strike, protest and vote.
#ReinstateTheNHS Add your name to the letter to the new Health Secretary, Victoria Atkins, demanding she fix the NHS crisis by reinstating our NHS as a fully public service and ending NHS privatisation. @We_OwnIt https://t.co/ukF3CSxNeg
So in Sunak's new Cabinet we have:
- Environment Sec married to the exec of sewage-pumping water firm
- Health Sec in charge of obesity married to CEO of major sugar firm
- Foreign Sec tainted by Greensill lobbying scandal & isn't even an MP
Sounds like "common sense" to me...
So just to recap, our unelected head of state has given a position in Britain's unelected House of Lords to an unelected foreign secretary, on the recommendation of an unelected prime minister
David Cameron works for US biotech firm Illumina. Cameron contacted Matt Hancock for a contract through the VIP PPE lane. Illumina were given a £123m NHS contract without any checks.
He is back to fill his overloaded pockets.
The Brexit architects merry go round. Cameron back to help clear up the mess his referendum created. Johnson making millions while a Covid Inquiry shreds what little was left of his credibility. Farage heading to the jungle for £1.5m to add ITV to institutions he has damaged 1/3
So David Cameron is to sit in the House of Lords ("taking back control from unelected officials anyone?") in order to be Foreign Secretary - which means he won't be able to be questioned by MPs in the chamber over foreign policy. Doesn't seem very 21st century.
