@MetalBlueberry @norpadon Yep. C dates back to a time of 80x24 green screen terminals when most programmers couldn’t touch type. Longer variable names meant less code visible on a screen and more syntax errors. Looks like the practices of that time persist.

That was not my point. The assertion is that creating businesses that are reliant on subsidies is bad. We have plenty of existing businesses either rely on them or get them and don't need them, but that's apparently OK.
