Latinas come in all colors. Its not an issue of if she’s the right color, the issue is real Latinas in hollywood get passed for roles and now a white girl gets a role for a mexican character. Even in stories that are supposed to include us, we are being erased.

I think these are sometimes acceptable criticisms but “Mexican” is not an ethnicity. The president of Mexico is an Ashkenazi Jew. Unless it’s specifically mentioned that the role was for an Afro- or Indigeous-Mexican it would’ve been perfectly acceptable for her to play it!
