Normalize ignoring women when they nitpick or nag. This includes female family members, coworkers, landlords, acquaintances, etc. Just stare at them, say okay, and walk away like the interaction never happened. If they do it over text, simply do not reply.
Don’t chase perfect people, they don’t exist.
Run towards those willing to improve, because that’s where two imperfect souls learn to love each other properly.
High-EQ women know that a man in pain needs to feel that his power is still visible to the woman he loves.
A lot of women misunderstand what a man needs when he is mentally collapsing.
They try to love him by making him feel emotionally held and spoken to softly, which is beautiful, but it is often incomplete. A man in that state is grieving his own powerlessness. He is sitting inside the humiliation of not being able to provide, or trust himself the way he once could.
From a relationship perspective, this is where a woman’s love becomes extremely important, because if she starts treating him like a wounded child permanently, he will feel even more reduced. But if she can love him while still speaking to the capable man inside him, something in him starts remembering itself.
A man does need tenderness, but he also needs to feel that his woman has not stopped seeing his strength just because life is going against him. He needs to know that she can sit beside him in the abyss, hold his hand, speak life into him, and still look at him like he is the king.
Çağın en iyi yatırımı psikolojik sağlamlılıktır dostlar. Bu umursamazlık değil,kendini yönetebilme becerisidir. Kırıldığında dağılmamak, haksızlık gördüğünde kendini tüketmemek, kaybettiğinde yeniden başlayabilmek, herkesin seni anlamasını beklemeden kendi gerçeğinde durabilmektir.
“You need to have a different kind of maturity to be able to admire somebody, admire their success and not want it for yourself, where you are able to say, well done, congratulations, I’m proud of you, without wanting it for yourself, that’s not very easy” envy yields nothing!
Maybe the most important thing I can tell myself is that I am still allowed to hope. Hope after disappointment is not naivety. It is courage. It says I know things can hurt, and I am still willing to believe something good can happen. That is not weakness. That is refusing to let pain become the final authority.
If you recently went through a breakup or divorce, please consider going for counselling or therapy. I know you are strong and may want to prove that you are doing okay, but the truth is, you may not be okay, and that's perfectly fine.
Losing a relationship or marriage is a big deal. Being unable to talk to someone you used to speak to every day can be devástating. When you internalise the pain and pretend that everything is fine, it can eventually begin to affect your behaviour.
You may become bîtter and angry towards people who have done nothing to offend you. You may even begin to feel jealous when you see two people in love. These feelings can be part of the healing process, but you shouldn't have to deal with them alone.
So, seek help when your relationship or marriage ends. Cry if you have to and talk about how you feel. Then, take your time to heal before considering another relationship.
You will eventually feel better and happier again.
Most of us were never taught the difference between arguing to protect love & arguing to protect ego. Our not knowing is what’s destroying our relationships.
Kaybeden, her zaman yalnız kalan değildir.
At some point, you’re gonna have to say to yourself, “I’m done trying to fix what I didn’t break.” You can communicate, show up, and do your part to rebuild, but once you’ve clearly said what you need and what you want, you have to stop believing that saying it differently will change what they’re willing or able to give.
Something that sucks about being avoidant is that I have a tendency to feel closest to people in the exact moment they're leaving, @ the airport, in the driveway, the end of a visit. Proximity to loss is the only condition under which I let myself feel what someone means to me :(
I’ve always considered myself a wise fool. I’m very aware, very observant, very intelligent and somehow still capable of doing the dumbest shit imaginable. Life is my art I guess.
No, me alivias
Real love is not always the person who gives you butterflies, sometimes it is the person who makes your nervous system stop preparing for disaster. The person you don’t have to perform for. The person whose presence doesn’t make you question your worth.
