@ChrissGPT I guess the issue is that in the AI race, speed is super important. If Fable/Mythos are super good now, then you've got to imagine Anthropic will be cooking up even better models. In 3 months a Fable competitor is super late and there could be something even BETTER than Fable.
@renegadegenesis I'm saying that many people who are vibecoding don't understand the code. SWEs do understand code. You'll need SWEs who can not only debug your software, but who can help software scale. Scaling is the real issue with Vibecoding.
@aaronburnett I think you're right that the tech will continue to improve. My opinion is that the timescale may be off. Then again, we went from horse-drawn buggies to rockets going to the moon in less than 100 years. So you may end up being right. In fact, I hope you are. Godspeed!
@omgsidewalks Yeah the whole optimization culture is not sustainable, especially for parents of young children. It's great to be healthy, but holding ourselves to standards that are really hard to maintain over a lifetime will just lead to anxiety. And I'm one of those people....
@greg_price11 This is an amazing example of two things. One, most people have not thought through their arguments, and they are trying to argue based on headlines. Two, the media has demonized conservatives so much that it's assumed that JD Vance/conservatives are default racist.
yeah I feel like there are still improvements that will come. For example, I think AI prose is still pretty rough. It just doesn't sound human. That will likely change over time. Even better, it will sound more like YOU. For coding and building apps, etc. Fable is super good, IMO. It'd be awesome if somehow the models got even better, but at a certain point it's hard to know what that'd even look like.
