PSA
No refs want specific teams to lose. No ref is out to get your team.
Calls are missed sometimes. And possibly too often given stakes.
But nobody is biased against YOUR team. In long run, bad calls balance out.
YOU ARE wearing team-colored glasses if you think otherwise.
Hey guys, for the next six weeks I will be hosting a radio show on Sirius XM called Poker Weekly, every Saturday at 8pm EST on channel 82, Mad Dog Sports Radio. Sirius hit me before the World Series about a trial type run, and if they like it they will cultivate more poker stuff, which would give other players looks to grow the game we love, and make some dough lol. This is a great honor for me, I never thought I would be doing stuff like this. We have some great guests lined up, what I could really use from you guys are some questions, and some hands. A big part of the show will be breaking hands down people send in, or maybe at some point we take live call ins also. Either comment here, or if say we have an insane torch on our hands but we still would like some insight, feel free to dm me. Same goes if trying to be a guest, hit me up. Thank you so much, hope everyone is well and once again it's Poker Weekly, the next six Saturday nights at 8pm EST , Sirius XM radio (or the Sirius XM app) channel 82 Mad Dog Sports Radio let's work.
The final day of the WSOP in upon us. My eyes are bloodshot and my pale skin hasn’t seen the sun in weeks. But who knows, this final tournament could be the one.
I recognize my dealer as the one who put one of the more horrific beats I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing in event 36. Because of the severity of the beat and the sleep that was lost over it on subsequent nights, I naturally grab my phone to give them a very deserved 1 star rating.
But before I can deliver that rating, I’m dealt a hand. I take a look.
Pocket aces.
About god damn time I think to my myself as I raise.
Much to my disbelief a player behind me moves all in. How can this be? Is it my time? I feel a tremble in my hand as the other players are folding as I’m waiting to slam my chips in the middle and send this guy home for the summer.
The action finally gets back to me and I make the call. They have pocket queens. Finally someone else is on the other end of a bad beat besides me.
Astonishingly, the board runs out clean. I win. As the dealer pushes me the pot I’m in sheer ecstasy as I count how many big blinds I now have. My mind is running in a thousand different directions. Maybe I’ve got a shot to win this and also half the money I’ve lost this summer I tell myself.
Suddenly, I’m overcome with shame. I remember the 1 star rating I was about to give this poor dealer. They are out here doing their absolute best. And they need to be rewarded for that, don’t they?
So I grab my phone and quickly open the WSOP app to give the rating this dealer now deserves.
2 stars.
@NickSchulman@Ali_Nejad really brutal of you fellas. I had U6.5 "weasel drain" utterances tonight for my entire retirement account on kalshi.
On to the next, I guess.
Fellow dealers, first of all, I love you very much but if you have a floor call, SAY YOUR FUCKING TABLE NUMBER.....there are 6.2 million tables in 14 different tournaments.....look up, find your table number and THEN floor.....your floor staff will thank you
I absolutely love yellow mustard. I go through a bottle a month, minimum.
That said....
This should be a capital crime. You cannot do this and expect to participate in polite society.
Look, I don’t want to be that guy, and I really have nothing to gain by posting this, but the amount of deck integrity issues I’ve seen @venetianpoker is getting out of hand. This isn’t about one dealer. Wobbly pitches, rolled decks and lax behavior are becoming commonplace
