“What radicalized you?”
I was a senior in high school, worked at an HEB near a hotel where families that were displaced here were staying, sometimes 6-8 family members to one room. People who had received TANF often came shopping late, and once a woman told me it was because people would sneer at her and her sister’s basket not realizing they were shopping for 14 people altogether, and most of it had to be processed bc they were in standard rooms (small fridge and a microwave only), but she was grateful to God not be in the astrodome anymore and that all her family made it out before the levees broke.
I watch Shakespeare solely for Tom Hiddleston- I don’t *totally* understand what they’re saying but I understand and appreciate that his legs have never met each other
@Takiwatanga74 Look, either him or Benedict and I'd be unwell, which basically in that one episode of what if he was definitely acting like Erik. Lol no one could survive that mess
The fact that head to toe leather is probably MORE comfortable than this outfit where his pants look like he’s sewn into them and one wrong move will reveal his mjolnir to the multiverse
I suspect the “pastors” and “theologians” who chose to wait until Dolly Parton was dead to critique her faith, are in fact threatened by her, knowing that — despite not being an academic or a theologian — she had more grace and love in her baby toe than all of them put together.
I think the most self entitled people call themselves Christians and self appoint themselves as bouncers of heaven. The more you deconstruct the more you see it.
Well, though I saw others post some next level nasty shit, the vultures are out circling. It's good to know that a woman who suffered from endometriosis is being judged for not having children when she did her best to mother children that weren't hers.
Column: Dolly Parton’s lack of children demonstrated that the world could in fact love a woman who wasn’t a mother.
But more importantly, she was proof that a person could be an advocate for children while personally choosing against parenting. https://t.co/y37KSOj2cv
@washingtonpost Lack of children? I keep forgetting that's all that us women are good for. She took care of her family, saw many people got their educations, brought employment to her part of Tennessee, and any other place she had businesses. And the imagination library .She was a mom in spirit.
“I didn’t have children because I believed that God didn’t mean for me to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine, so I could do things like Imagination Library, because if I hadn’t had the freedom to work, I wouldn’t have done all the things I’ve done."
