@davidmenkes This one is nice though, far fewer bold causal claims https://t.co/htnN5X0Unw totally agree that schizophrenia is a pretty wide brush. A word that has lots of stigma attached too.❤️
@davidmenkes Don't worry I found it. https://t.co/G8sANaW73D the good ol' self-cite. Perhaps you might also claim being Maori plays a causal role in developing/being diagnosed with schizophrenia. @FMHS_UoA what do you think?
@davidmenkes Can you provide some evidence behind these two claims too. "strongly implicate a causal role for (THC) in schizophrenia" and "lung disease, which has been convincingly linked to cannabis smoking". I understand there's some correlation. But professor please...
@davidmenkes You say "This is a prevalent and serious clinical problem" currently. How do you tackle this without some sort of funding? Also decriminalization still leaves users guessing about composition. I certainly wouldn't skull two 50% beers if I knew the concentration. How about you?
@ReuniteNZ Azithromycin is approved for some of the complications patients could see along with covid-19 infection. However medsafe NZ suggests against using it for elderly patients. Source https://t.co/gcdS8G9rne
@ReuniteNZ This is why you should leave the virology to the virologists. I think that "troll" was just reminding you that people can be stupid and obviously enough to self medicate. So we should be very careful around the things we suggest might be cures. Are you for #freespeech or not?
@democracymum What a weird set of tweets. We are all human and this is a novel disease. How about spreading some love instead of hate. It's hard I know, but we can try. I can go into your maths if you like too. It gets real funky with combined probabilities.
@familyfirstnz@vote_no@MailOnline Seems a popular way to kill kids. https://t.co/gmTBPWr1qL I wonder how many of these murderers were carrying rosaries?
@vote_no@ClaireChartran1 did you say reason? what does that article have to do with legalisation? use your reasoning skills. we know it's no good for childrens brains, we know it can have adverse effects. these happen regardless of the legal status. we know people dont disclose use to doctors if illegal
@familyfirstnz Or... "Canadians are smoking less than expected and the price is falling as predicted." Will the black market grow or shrink with diminishing profits? We all know it won't disappear overnight.
@ClaireChartran1@vote_no Did you read the 'article'? This was an *adult* and it was not legal at the time. So the problem exists regardless of legality and Citalopram has been shown to cause these symptoms in some people. Even coffee can trigger psychotic episodes.
@vote_no And the results are... All the money goes to gangs. Kids are still getting their hands on it and ending up in hospital not willing to admit they have done something illegal. Also no money to put toward education around the negative effects. Plus more kids die by paracetamol OD.
@amyadamsMP From article: “The government is not anticipating a significant long-term increase in usage...
“This is based on examining legalisation and decriminalisation internationally where no clear causal link between the legal status of cannabis and usage patterns was observed.”
