@thejarloz@joindicebreaker Podcasted games - the edited ones - are really becoming like radio serials. Might be something there too. And agreed with it being insular (as much as I would love to see the hobby grow, some real out of the box thinking is needed)
@thejarloz@joindicebreaker The biggest issue IMHO has been one of scale. Unlike a movie or a video game, there’s a fairly hard limit at roughly 6 players. Which makes it by nature a cluster of closed ecosystems. Maybe it could be addressed with multi-DM rules for large games but whoa is that tricky.
@thejarloz@joindicebreaker Interesting comment you make about the lifestyle brand. The more DND invests on this - “the cool factor” the more the hobby will grow.
Late last night, I hiked to a syrupy plasma pit near the meadows of a remote burg. Citrine onions are everywhere, even during the harvest season. That's the reason I was ashamed.
@GailSimone@SebastianPiriz Thank you for this really helpful thread! One thing I read that was really helpful is that flawed characters are trying to control the world to make it stable - and that creates tension.
