The assessment challenge was to cover the distance in 45 minutes or less. A minimum of ten pounds was desired, but if a member participated in the first assessment, he or she was asked to carry five more pounds.

North Texas Wrangers March Strenuous Saturday StrenReport: Hiking Inventory & Packing

On a hilariously chaotic, Strenuous Saturday to inventory and pack hiking gear, chaos reigned supreme as the North Texas Wranglers attempted to corral our wilderness essentials.

Laughter echoed as we debated the necessity of bringing a portable espresso machine versus lightweight dehydrated coffee. Despite the debate over the merits of a luxury item versus its weight penalty, we sorted through the madness and emerged with packed bags and high spirits.
