I’m all for agenda pushing but trying to pretend that UM players smoking weed is some kind of controversy is insane. They probably shouldn’t be smoking in the locker room but Weed is legal in Michigan. Can’t stand that school but it’s a lame agenda
The Elm Street remake DID try, it’s just that all the creatives driving it had conflicting visions.
Eric Heiserrer wanted a full on subversion of slasher tropes, Samuel Bayer wanted an exploration of survivor’s trauma, Brad Fuller wanted a nostalgic throwback.
@W1CK3DWYRM I don’t know what to tell you. I acknowledge it’s flawed as fuck, but it’s my favorite Elm Street movie (not the best) and I think Bayer’s Director’s Cut would have been legitimately great.
Not even exaggerating when I say that this brief moment from Revenge of the Sith is legitimately one of the best scenes from the entire Prequel Trilogy.
So thematically strong and profoundly emotional without even containing one piece of dialogue.
Few villains have ever carried a movie as hard as Ruber carries Quest for Camelot.
Writing a D&D movie screenplay and the villain is heavily based on him.
I have a story concept I’d love to pitch to DC based on Othello with Ivy taking that titular role, Grodd as her Iago and an OC of mine as her Desdemona that I think would really sing.
If you’re curious about it, shoot me a DM!
Real talk, I think Ivy might actually end up admiring Grodd, what with his desire to tear down human civilization and return to the natural world.
He’s the only male character in the DC Universe that has a shot of manipulating her.
ivy in supervillain groups is like. on her right is Pedostroke. on her left is Cheetah only cus she’s a woman. across her is a literal gorilla. Jonkler and Lex Loser yapping 24/7 so she wears pea earplugs. ready to clock out by 10 #coworkerstories
@uukhanu I have a story concept in my mind that’s a spin on Othello with Ivy taking that titular role and Grodd as her Iago. I think the concept’s sound.
@uukhanu I could actually see her taking a liking to Grodd, what with him wanting to tear down human civilization and all. He’s the only male character who I think has a genuine shot of manipulating her.
everyday it’s:
harley is a bad character (ignore flanderization)
ivy is a sociopathic killer (ignore her comics)
harlivy is bad (ignore biphobic company)
if you haven't read this short story written by Scott Snyder for All-Star Batman (2016) #7 you should read it, it will give you a little treat with his main continuity Ivy before we get to see his Absolute Poison Ivy
