I had the opportunity to speak alongside some amazing women in tech at #MoonshotbyTechCabal and it was super insightful. Felt so good seeing @Babajiide and @gbengaosowe again.
@dammyoloke Yes o. Treat first and then ask questions after and alert the police where necessary.
May God comfort all the families of people we have lost to unfortunate events.🙏
If you people understood the fickleness of attraction, a lot of you wouldn’t prioritize it when choosing a partner.
To make it worse, a lot of you have missed out on good people because you felt you weren’t attracted to them.
Herein lies the mistake a lot of you make. You assume that attraction must be immediate when in actuality, attraction grows.
Just like you build a muscle, attraction can be grown as you begin to fixate on the admirable qualities the person has.
Driving past Lagos and some streets of Nigeria it’s always clear to see what keeps holding this economy together and stopping it from boiling over.
There is a product at a price point for everyone.
For every club sandwich there is a meshai.
For every two bed in Banana there is a shanty.
For every single malt whiskey there is local paraga.
For every designer clothing there is bend down boutique.
For every shopping mall there is street trading.
For every Food delivery app there is a agege bread and agoyin hawker.
Your choice is determined by your pocket and your aspiration (even if misplaced).
As much as this is symptomatic of poverty and poor standard of living this is what keeps this economy and polity together.
I want to extend it to you as well. So if you are feeling low on energy today, look in the mirror or your phone selfie camera and say “I am super pumped” until you feel it in your spirit💛
May God fill you with His strength today and always.
Good morning Neighbors!
The week is almost over!
How’s your energy level today?
Did a lil exercise with my Kiddos this morning when they were crying. We kept shouting “I am super pumped” until the cries changed to a smile and then laughter.
@tedgonder Thanks for sharing. Had the same belief as you but I have recently learnt that it is important to be intentional about parenting my kids especially in this times
Nothing on HR JD says “office mummy” oo. Some HR people like it, I know. It can give a sense of being needed. Different strokes for different folks🤷🏾♀️
If you want to attempt it with your HR, please find out if it is something they appreciate before doing it. Stop triggering people
Hello Neigbors,
I come in “vawulence”.
I was discussing HR peeves with some HR friends and we all agreed that a HR peeve was being called “office mummy”. Especially when the employee wants to ask for something. It is a manipulation tool.
Stopeeet o!🙏
A good place to start might be engaging that person that they defer to all the time. There is something to learn there. If you try it, Let me know how it goes.
All my love,
Your friendly neighborhood HR
Hey Neighbors,
Someone was telling me about his line manager’s personality and how she works. He said she was very introverted and I raised my eyebrow at him because the few times I met her, she was so bubbly and I couldn’t marry her to the person he was describing.
If your line manager is a terrible person to you only and there are people who work well with him/her, then you are properly between 1 & 2 above. So, assess your relationship from these 2 perspectives and see where the dynamics of your relationship fall in and course correct.
Not HR starting fitness challenge because she wants to loose weight🌚
Like it or not, it’s a win-win for everybody. Fit employees = High productivity and less sick days.🤪
Ciao, Neighbors
I acknowledge that some line managers are natural micro-managers and if it doesn’t work for you and symptoms persist, please plan your exit strategy.
Have a great day, neighbors🥰
Neighbors,
Have you ever had that feeling that you are just a “Lackey” at Work?
It’s a feeling that I never ever want to feel again. Feeling like a rubber stamp, demotivated and not being heard, we’ve all been there one way or another.
A thread
It could also be that your line manager is dealing with something that is both exciting and scary for them and is worried that you will mess it all up especially if you have broken trust before.
So speaking with them will help you get to the root of the matter.
