New travel document requirements will come into effect for travel between the Republic of Ireland and the UK on Aer Lingus.
Effective from 25th February 2026, all Aer Lingus customers (including Irish and British nationals) will require a passport or an Irish passport card for travel, and non-Irish and non-British nationals will be required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or eVISA.
Photo identification other than a passport or Irish Passport Card will no longer be accepted from that date.
Passengers using Aer Lingus's daily service to Heathrow from Ireland West Airport are advised to note the new ID requirements if travelling on or after the above date.

****** A close friend lost a ring in Dublin city centre today, between Newmarket Sq. the Patrick St end of The Coombe, Dawson St areas. It is of huge sentimental importance, it is a silver ring with a dark red stone. Just in case anyone did find it, RTs appreciated. *******
My lovely bike was just stolen in the last hour from Drumcondra Road, outside Mint Leaf/the post office. It’s a Kuma electric women’s bike with a baby seat at the back so it’s pretty easy to spot.
This is what it looks like. If anyone spots it, please let me know.
