An exciting day... @BlockVisibility and @theiconblock have each hit 20,000 users within the past week and have more than a combined 300,000 downloads. 🤯

Thank you to everyone who has used either plugin, logged issues, provided feedback, etc. I would not be where I am today without the success of my "little" side projects. 🙏

And last but not least, the Social Sharing Block hit 4,000 users last week!

Just released v1.6.0, and we're all ready for WordPress 6.3. 💪

A couple highlights:

✅ Plugin now requires WordPress 6.2
✅ Added 21 new icons that were included in 6.2
✅ Color controls now use the native color panel

The min version was bumped for new block features in 6.2.

.@theiconblock just hit 9,000 users. Not too bad for a single-block plugin I build for myself back in 2021.

Perhaps it's because blocks are becoming more widely adopted, but I'm seeing really strong growth in the past 6 months. Currently at +1,000 users every ~25 days! 🤯

Knocked out a few feature requests today 💪

@theiconblock will soon have a new width control that supports more units or those specified in theme.json.

Icon height control was also added along with a new settings panel design.

Version 1.4.0 will release next week! ⚡️

@robknight Are you looking to "import" icons from another icon library, such as Font Awesome, Heroicons, etc.? If so, this is not currently supported but is a common feature request. For now, you need to specify each icon individually as detailed in this article.

Version 1.0.0 is here with a whole new icon insertion experience! Custom icons now get their own modal with a nice big text area and preview area.

And of course, v1.0.0 includes the full #WordPress icon library!⚡️

v1.1.0 will improve icon categorization in the library.
