Season 1 of our @Nairametrics Podcast Drinks N Mics ends today.
It’s been an incredible journey across 30 episodes of unfiltered conversations, hot takes, and smart minds coming together.
To mark the end, we decided to go out in style with a live audience at an exclusive venue. It was the perfect crescendo to a season filled with insight, laughter, and hard truths.
Special thanks to my co-hosts Tunji, Arnold, and Dele, and to all the brilliant guests who joined us and made the show what it is.
Season 2 promises to be even bolder, sharper, and more instructive.
Video is up 6pm on Nairametrics TV on YouTube.
Spoke with @CGTNOfficial at the West Africa Business Forum 2025.

Not every market crash is driven by fundamentals.
Sometimes it’s systemic—margin calls, clearinghouse models misfiring, volatility spikes. The system feeds on itself.

For whatever growth aspirations Nigeria has, the oil and gas industry will play a critical role, even just from a revenue basis.

Markets are noisy. But the signals are there — if you’re listening.
On Drinks & Mics with we discuss the hard truth about why Africa still needs aid. This isn’t about dependency—it’s about facing the reality that we haven’t built systems that take care of our own.
Watch. Reflect. Engage.

Inflation is on a downward trajectory in Nigeria. Note that prices don’t have to drop for this to happen, they just need not rise and with no significant shocks to food or distribution, it won’t. We’ve also chosen a mountain top as base year, so the roll down begins.
I could see 8.5% early next year
