A LETTER FROM SOUTH AFRICA
David Bradshaw’s association with Corinthian-Casuals goes back more than 70 years, in which time he has been a supporter, player, committeeman and member.
He began attending games as a boy in our days at the Oval, and started training with us in 1959, after which he became a regular for the ‘A’ team and Schools XI.
His association has continued in one way or another ever since and he now follows us from a distance from his home just outside Johannesburg.
In recent times, following an appeal to members for memorabilia to help build our archive, Bradshaw has donated a number of items going back to the early years of the amalgamated club.
@theinsidelefty got in touch to find out more about his time with the club...

Great photo from an old England camp under Walter Winterbottom.
Brian Clough, Bobby Charlton and Jimmy Greaves all prominent.
Found it in an old Greaves autobiography from 1962.
@JBMcCann82@ScotNational Lovely to see Andrew Watson's story being told but he didn't play for Corinthians in Brazil, he played for Corinthian FC in London, now @CorinthianCas.
They went on to inspire the formation of @Corinthians in 1910.
A bit harsh on @LlewWalker to call the story untold too.
If you have a moment to give @CorinthianCas your vote for best non-league publication, it'd be much appreciated.
A lot of hard work goes into the Casuals programme, all by volunteers in our spare time. A passion project in its purest form.
PAUL CLEMENT: FROM TOLWORTH BROADWAY TO BRAZIL 🇧🇷
As excitement builds ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a new link between Corinthian-Casuals and Brazil has come to the fore.
Paul Clement spent a brief period with us in the late 1990s before going on to a celebrated coaching career that has seen him win honours with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG, and manage Derby County, Swansea City, Reading and Cercle Brugge.
Now he is assistant manager to Carlo Ancelotti with the Brazil national team and he’s off to the biggest tournament in world football. He spoke to Dom Bliss about his unique journey.

Back to Catania for the Serie C playoff quarter-final tonight, meeting Ssrgio, who introduced me to this place in 2014.
Love a bit of Sicilian football, and they progressed to the semis despite drawing 3-3 with Lecco, owing to their higher league finish. 🔵🔴
This is Stadio Nicola De Simone, previously known as Stadio Vittorio Emanuele III, home of Siracusa Calcio 1924, in Sicily.
There was no game today as their season has already ended, unfortunately with relegation from Serie C.
The stadium was built during the Fascist period of Fascist in the interwar years and the main entrance has this striking facade.
It was renamed in 1979 after Nicola De Simone, a Siracusa player who died after falling into a coma following a heavy challenge during a match.

Today is the anniversary of the Superga air disaster in which the all-conquering Grande Torino lost their lives.
A few years ago, I paid tribute to the players alongside the late Corrado Golé's beautiful artwork of each of them 🧵
For some reason that thread doesn't include Gabetto and Ossola, who can be found here. Well worth it for Gabetto's quote on simple goals alone.

HE'S A CAS-U-AAAAL!
Your Supporters' Player of the Year for 2025/26 is @SheaCascoe, who received his award from @theinsidelefty at last night's ceremony.
Well done Shea! And thanks to everyone who voted.
WARREN BURTON: THE FIRST INTERVIEW
"We will try and bring in a style of football that entertains. We have a go at teams – that’s how I like to play the game."
The new manager - @warrenburton09 - outlines his approach, his ambitions and his Corinthian-Casuals connections as he speaks to @theinsidelefty upon his unveiling.

"Like Saint George with the dragon, we are always fighting, never giving up"
St George is not just the patron saint of England; he is also the patron saint of Corinthians! So we have plenty of reasons to celebrate his day... on both sides of the Atlantic!
Happy St George's Day 🏴
