Perhaps one way of dealing with the pervasive nature of unpaid internships is by changing the traditional format of internships themselves. Introducing: the micro-internship.

Micro internships however, are short term, paid projects for students and recent grads, available all year round on a virtual or on site basis. They offer many of the benefits of regular internships, but the added flexibility makes them accessible to a wider range of applicants.
