Why does the Atlantic hurricane season begin in June?
There are a few reasons, but chief among them is the relaxation of vertical shear across the western Caribbean, Gulf, and SW Atlantic as the North American continent warms up and the subtropical jet stream weakens.
On average, shear values prohibitive to tropical development (30+ knots) disappear from the pink-outlined region in early-mid June, while continuing to shut down the eastern Caribbean and deep tropical Atlantic until much later in the summer.
No surprise coming from the most corrupt and lawless administration in American history. The scale at which they’re attempting to chill constitutionally protected speech is wild.
