Been thinking a lot about how the balance of order vs. chaos lately. It seems like there’s a certain amount of chaos that is just inherent to our experience of reality. Like two sides of a coin - you can’t have order without chaos, since the existence of one implies the other. And there seems to be a sweet spot at their intersection that results in really cool, beautiful things (look up fractals!). Creativity itself probably exists there. You can’t create something new without change, and change requires some chance of chaos. But how much of the chaos that we experience is just the nature of reality, and how much is needless suffering we bring upon ourselves? Does chaos necessitate suffering? When you picture “Heaven” or the ideal state we’re all striving for, is it static? Or is there movement, dance, change, chaos?

You have no idea how much I resent AI for completely ruining a perfectly good sentence structure: "It's not just x – it's y." You cannot write that anymore. Everyone will assume it's AI or get derailed wondering if it's AI. We've been robbed of an entire sentence form.
I see a lot of my peers take a somewhat defeatist alternative to “gambling” and focus on more accessible status signals instead. They give up on ever building a true fortune and just spend every paycheck. You might never own a house, but a $1k designer bag is still in reach.
Sleep is as important for health as food and water.
Knowing your chronotype should be as common as knowing your blood type.
Our systems should allow people to create a lifestyle that prioritizes their unique sleep needs without compromising their livelihood.
Sci-fi’s rise in popularity correlates with that of modernity, and with modernity came the view that humans have no inherent worth. But modernity couldn’t erase our awareness of our potential for evil e.g. all the weapons of mass destruction that came out of the world wars. So we have this collective unconscious fear of being judged by mother nature for taking more from her than we’re worth. On the other hand, the survival of our species isn’t really worrisome, since we’re just stardust. Maybe we deserve to die anyway
regardless of scientific accuracy, personality tests/theories are super helpful for self growth bc they train you to see yourself from outside your head
