@FabrizioRomano @JPercyTelegraph @hbrooks_coach Spurs should be all over this at £12m right??

[JL @thejamesal]

@JackPittBrooke @CDEccleshare Is this a change in strategy from Tottenham then? Reports had been suggesting Director first, then manager - but if Slot has been identified and Spurs are preparing an approach, does this mean they have reversed that position? Or is a Director already lined up?

[JL @thejamesal]

@HLTCO

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane Not sure if I’m more baffled by the initial team selection or the lack of a plan B. What’s the harm in putting Gil or Ndombele on?

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane @jimads Rodon has already come on though 😬

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane Agreed - if we had managed to shift Aurier and Doherty too, it’s surely a no brainer for that price. Romano said Tomiyasu really wanted to join too :(

@Zeus1882x @thfc_cillian @TottenhamTiers @David_Ornstein

[JL @thejamesal]

@Zeus1882x @liamgallagher So tough shit Fraudiola, I heard you say

[JL @thejamesal]

@Zeus1882x @liamgallagher And so Harold can wait
He knows it’s too late

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane @SkyKaveh Metz play on Sunday at the same time as Spurs - so I’m not sure of the logistics. I assume if we complete it now, then he is technically our player & we will loan him back AFTER the game on Sunday, to be unveiled. But seems a bit pointless to make him miss a game just for that…

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane @stortney @rupertmiller @Zeus1882x What do you mean we need a dead ball specialist? We’ve got Eric Dier 😂

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane @Zeus1882x Agreed. I don’t think we’ve even been liked with any? I believe Aouar is primarily an 8 - although if we continue with 433, then I guess we won’t need a natural CAM. Would love to see a midfield 3 of Hojbjerg, Ndombele & Dele/GLC. Dreaming, but Camavinga/Kessie as the 3rd CM 😍

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane @Zeus1882x I’m really torn - I think his physicality & ability in tight spaces makes him ideal for the midfield. But at the same time, I rate him as probably the best out of Dele, GLC or Lucas to play those eye of the needle passes. I find those 3 need to release the ball a bit quicker too.

[JL @thejamesal]

@Zeus1882x @simonyemane I get the end product concern, but teams do double up & focus on him - which creates more space for Kane & Son. God I wish we had an Eriksen type player to play those balls through the gaps. I still don’t believe it’s his best position, but Tanguy as a 10 if he stays?

[JL @thejamesal]

@simonyemane @Zeus1882x The price tag of £40m is a concern, but I’m in love with the prospect of having a player that gets me excited when he gets on the ball. Other than Son, we’ve missed a ‘Lennon’ type player that gets the crowd on their feet. Bergwijn is showing signs too, but Traore is electric.

[JL @thejamesal]

@CoMacDo I’ve desperately wanted him to succeed since he joined, but enoeuf is enoeuf

[JL @thejamesal]

@CDEccleshare @JackPittBrooke So does this suggest that (assuming he stays) Kane will not be selected until the transfer window is over? Hard to argue that he is entirely committed to the project and Tottenham Hotspur, given everything we’ve heard about his desire to leave…
