Why have we not considered trying Felix as a false #9?

- His work-rate/pressing has improved.

- One of the best abilities to wriggle out of pressure, retain the ball & create shots for himself in congested zones itw.

- Top ball-striking off both feet

- He can head the ball & has shown solid box-movement for cut-backs etc. a couple of times this season (Goal vs Wolves & vs PAOK off the top of my head).

Most importantly sometimes it’s about a player’s personality. Felix needs to feel important & like the star.

CF plays into that shoot-first, selfish, tunnel-vision mentality he has. Something that’s a weakness as a #10 is an admirable trait as a #9. It’s the one position for us where those solo mazy-runs & the ability to consistently make something out of nothing on your own would be a benefit.

If Maresca’s tried Nkunku at #9, it would be silly not to try Felix (who’s maybe more suited).

It’s time to get creative. I would like to see it. Shake things up. Maybe even give Jackson a run at LW.

Liverpool have lost their Anfield magic since Jurgen Klopp left. It is not as intimidating as before.

They are in the unity building phase — between the crowd, Arne Slot, and the new system.

On the other hand, Chelsea are playing with a synergy I have never seen before, this is a team that is already unified. Jackson, Madueke, Palmer — the deadliest attacking triangle in the entire WORLD.

Can Liverpool contain that? Yes. They have the best defensive duo in the world this season. They also have the players that can punish Chelsea’s possible vulnerability in transition.

But do you know who Chelsea have that gives them the edge? Cole Palmer. I do not like to pin the result on one player, and I like to look at the bigger tactical picture. But sometimes, you cannot.

He has that Ronaldo X-Factor.

If I had to pick — I would say Chelsea. But realistically, I expect a draw.

This Cole Palmer and Saka debate is the most annoying debate I've seen; you just can't watch football with your eyes and still think that Saka is the better player.

Club sentiment aside, any England fan that chooses Bukayo Saka over Palmer should never be taken seriously.
