@AndrewPaulWood@WizzBizzz@assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus I had a tomboy friend in high-school that appeared masculine. Everyone thought she was a boy and she didn't correct anyone. Once she started dressing more feminine, people didn't recognize her right away as the woman she always was. It could easily be the same thing.
@WizzBizzz@assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus Exactly... which means we can literally only refer to them as a woman... not a trans woman, not a cis woman, just a woman.
You're just arguing to argue at this point. Go ahead and assume her to be trans if you personally think there's enough to go on for that assumption.
@WizzBizzz@assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus Yes of course, they do. So if someone introduces themselves as a woman, what reason would you have to assume they're a trans woman?
@charliesb1tch Sirona is the name of a celtic goddess and not a single dev has confirmed her trans even when asked about it specifically. Its just fan theory, assumption of being trans because a woman had a deep voice, which is ironic to me.
@0takuFor3ver Thats my point, they deliberately made it unclear and shouldn't get credit for "representation of a trans character". Her line of diologue can easily apply to a woman that used to appear more as a boy, like a tomboy, therfore her classmates didn't recognize her appearing feminine
@WizzBizzz@assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus No we aren't assuming she's a girl, she introduces herself as MISS Sirona Ryan. Therfore, we can only address her as such.
@WizzBizzz@assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus Whether or not you can assume somebody is trans, yes. If they have never explicitly said they're trans, you're assuming gender if you assume they're trans.
@KristinaTsarina @assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus That can still mean exaclty what I just explained. Everyone thought my tom boy friend was a boy for about 2 years. Then when she presented more feminine, as Sirona does, she was not recognized right away by those same people.
@KristinaTsarina @assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus For example, the one line of diologue says her classmates took a while to realize she was a witch, not a wizard. This happened to a tomboy friend of mine. Shes a biological woman that presents more masculine. Someone mistook her for a man. So its not clearly implying trans at all
@KristinaTsarina @assignedmedia@Jung_japhistus But thats the problem, it has never once been established. These websites saw a woman with a deep voice and one line of suggestive diologue and automatically assumed she was trans. That wouldn't fly in real life, I know she's just a gsme character but yeah.
