Putting bombs in pagers, not knowing who might be holding them, in a civillian area. Is an indiscriminate attack. An explicit war crime in the geneva conventions. "apparent terror attack" is the correct framing for this
Israel had absolutely no idea who would be standing nearby when those beepers exploded. They didn't care, because civilian life is meaningless to them.
Over the course of my grandfather's lifetime, he gifted and "loaned" Donald $413 million. And Donald still declared bankruptcy 6 times. He failed so badly that the banks needed to put him on a $425,000-a-month allowance.
"Every legal scholar!!!" I can verify that's a Trump lie. As a legal scholar, I oppose fundamental rights being turned over to the states. And I am far from alone in that.
@BarnardCollege this is the energy that led the US to boycott the Nagasaki commemoration for peace this summer. The Zionist uber alles advocates **to whom you cater here** oppose peace, humane co-existence, learning from history. Pls restore the social media post and stop catering to extremism.
I'm not mad at the NABJ's decision to give Trump 35 minutes to spew racist insults to our faces, I'm just disappointed.

@Geniusbastard@cheo_coker it is what we heard when we (i guess) made him the “consensus” candidate in 2020. That he was a bridge and knew he was not a real solution for the future https://t.co/Nb10qKkkJN
@johnpavlovitz @JoAnnLiguori This is simply Biden keeping another promise, which we remember from 2020: his promise to be a one term president and his acknowledgement that his VP would likely be next. Remember?
As the GOP nominates a white convicted felon for president, the Republican-dominated Fifth Circuit has just upheld a lifetime voting ban for convicted felons in Mississippi, the blackest state in the union.
1/ Let’s try a thought experiment.
Suppose you heard that in another country, a defeated former president who had attempted a coup was granted immunity for that coup by six Supreme Court judges, half of whom he had appointed; that this attempted coup included a widely-televised, deadly assault on the nation’s capitol intended to prevent the certification of his defeat in the last election; and that the Court’s immunity ruling came just months before a next election in which this defeated president is once again a candidate, seeking to recover the powers he previously abused.
What would you expect the focus of news reports about that Supreme Court’s ruling to be?
a) Debating whether the ruling itself aligns with the history and traditions of that nation’s legal system, or
b) Explaining the Court’s role in an ongoing authoritarian coup.
@NicholsUprising In 2020 Biden promised to be a one term president, which was one reason for democratic consensus. If only there had been committed strategists making that happen in the democratic party.
