@GreentownLabs is right, an energy transition on the timeline required must include existing energy players. They have the scale and resources to move the needle, and the required solutions are in their technology wheelhouse. A nuanced look is needed before applying labels.
We don’t typically think of the buildings sector as “hard to abate,” although perhaps we should. I had the pleasure of working on a @wbcsd Energy Efficient Buildings project previously, it opened my eyes to the challenges of deploying climate solutions in the built environment.
.@ENERGY is at #CES2023 with back-to-back sessions today discussing how government and the tech industry can work together to build sustainability:

Join us at @GCEAF_USA next week for our Tech to Market Partnering Studio feat. a panel of national lab directors from @NETL_DOE@PNNLab @NREL @INL moderated by @PoweredbyDOE. We'll discuss the energy transition & how industry can help accelerate commercialization to market.
Moderated by @garrycooperjr, CEO of @RheaplyInc, the #mHUB5year panel discusses energy infrastructure and advanced #energy storage to drive the #cleantech revolution. With fascinating insights from panelists Megan Clifford, Jim Fritz, Shashank Sane, and Carrie Zalewski.
This morning, OTT's Rima Oueid brought expertise, perspective, and insight to the @CERAWeek panel, "Quantum Computing: Solving big problems in energy transition." The panelists' engaging discussion touched on the expansive short and long-range prospects for the quantum future!
@Delta Thanks for allowing me to quickly change to an alternate flight when my connection was delayed. Just a heads up, there appears to be a bug in the Delta app. It still shows a boarding time of 9:40 for my new flight that departs at 8:35.
It was an honor to present the Challenge and STEM mentee awards at the @NYASciences Global STEM Alliance Summit on behalf of @UTC @CollinsAero. GSA students from around the globe, working together to solve today’s challenges with science. How cool is THAT? #futureofSTEM
Hailing from Egypt, the UK, Mozambique, and Singapore, team “The Future of Aviation” rocked the @NYASciences@UTC Aerospace Systems challenge, taking first prize. It was great to meet the team yesterday and chat about all sorts of techie-stuff. Congratulations!
Former @CollinsAero and @UTC colleague Donna Grossman will be sharing her perspective on the manned space flight program and on being one of the first female engineers in her department. Guaranteed to be fascinating!
