Delighted to see @LauraJaneGrace last night in Memphis for the first time since Ace’s Basement in Greensboro, 2004. Thanks for never going home, LJG, so the rest of us can.
UPDATE: Over the course of a 5-hour meeting today, Center for Documentary Studies staff learned that:
-director tried to resign 3x
-board hadn't received a detailed budget
-2 board members resigned this month
A @theassemblync followup story coming soon

@griffinblvd @renLarson_@TheAssemblyNC@CDSDuke@DukeU But why the lack of transparency? Why not help folks who made their life there find new ways to continue their careers if even in other areas of the university? If what you say is true then show the receipts and let the people who love that place understand what’s at stake.
UPDATE: At least seven full-time employees have been laid off from the Center of Documentary Studies at Duke University. This is a developing story, and we'll update as we learn more. Follow @TheAssemblyNC .

@Z99019173@kittypurrzog Yet somehow @CDSDuke Tweeted John Biewen and @SceneOnRadio the same day this article was published, and allegedly the same day they fired most of their staff.
@yasisalek Really looking forward to a Ken Burns’ style 6-part, 99 hour deep-dive into Robert Smith and company on the upcoming season of Bandsplain. Thanks @yasisalek
@TheThirdQuarter @OleMissSports@MorganWallen@OleMiss The most excellent parties allow all guests to celebrate together without fear of hate speech, racial slurs, or inequality. This is not that party.
