Many are released on licence, appeal their deportation, or can’t be sent home if their country won’t take them.

@anainsin Yep! No problem @anainsin - Brits (approx 18 million of them per year) visit Spain - let’s say 10% of them know some Spanish. Probably being over generous there…. But they still put more than 1% of the whole of Spain’s GDP. That’s 1/5 of all tourist spending. Now do illegals.
