Vinnie, Rocket and Georgie, three 12 week old Springer Spaniels, have joined our police dog family and they will be attending the National Police Dog Trials Family Fun Day next month.

One day, they could be searching for cash, drugs, firearms, explosives or digital equipment as Detection Dogs.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a family fun day on the final stage of the competition at Nostell on Saturday 16 May.

Today’s dog introduction is,
PD Bruce, he’s a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois with an impressive career under his collar. He arrived to WYP at just 10 weeks old, growing into a highly skilled police dog.
PD Bruce lives with his handler, PC Van Bellen, alongside retired police dog PD Bo.
Bruce has recently proven his talent by becoming the overall winner at the Regional Police Dog Trials in March, earning his place at the prestigious National Police Dog Trials.

We were honoured to be invited to attend the annual Animals In War Memorial Service at their beautiful monument in London yesterday.

We gathered together to remember those who could not speak, but who gave their all and in too many cases, made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts across the world - past and present.

We were privileged to be asked to lay a wreath to commemorate each one in love and gratitude.

We also remembered the lady who was the leading light behind the poignant statue - Jilly Cooper - who worked tirelessly to ensure those animals are forever remembered.
