I do not suffer from a lack of ideas, but rather the time to write them. Might be an actual cat. Disabled, queer, they/them. Novelist and frequent tea drinker.
@BackwoodsNana@SecretVixen76@DopaminePlsMe Please point to where I FUCKING SAID that people aren't strong, JESUS.
I did not say that.
I said that sometimes fighting back gets you killed.
For the record? I fought back and it did work out well for me. But it's not a one size fits all, and you're being a dick weasel.
@BackwoodsNana@SecretVixen76@DopaminePlsMe Please stop telling people that they just should have done more to protect themselves.
Some bullies are cowards and fighting back makes you no longer a target.
Sometimes fighting back gets you *killed*.
Glad it worked for you and your dad, but it can't for everyone.
@TVachaW YEARS ago I had a period last for 4 months, went to doctor about it, said I suspected PCOS and endometriosis, would like tests, doctor said I was fine and just had anxiety. Met a doctor who asked me to come into their clinic for tests for PCOS. Guess who has PCOS? (also anxiety.)
Hey #NaNoWriMo (NaNoWriNO)
The issue is not just that you said you would allow the use of AI and didn't clarify whether or not you meant generative AI. The issue is that you decided to use poor and/or disabled writers as your shield from cricism.
And you have yet to apologize.
@oghofer@WriterJordyn@AbigailFalanga And I would ALSO like for Kilby to not use people like me (a neurodiverget disabled writer) as a shield for saying that to be anti AI is to be classist and ableist. How dare you say that I can't be successful if I don't use AI, and then use me as a shield from criticism?
[9/9]
@oghofer@WriterJordyn@AbigailFalanga I don't blame people for thinking "New management, let's see how it's handled". I don't blame people who've loved it for for not wanting to give up on NaNo.
But I've already grieved the loss of NaNo. Now I'd just like for Kilby to stop using the corpse of NaNo as a prop.

OUCH. This one... hurts.
A concerned user got a response from @ScrivenerApp.
They have no plans to withdraw their sponsorship for #NaNoWriMo, even going as far to defend them.
Note the font difference in the last paragraph - it's a copy-paste from another document.
By the way, if you openly criticize #NaNoWriMo’s promotion of AI, they’ll go into your DMs and threaten you for not following their Codes of Conduct, lol
So basically #nanowrimo ignored a mod abusing teenagers. Ignored that a mod might be grooming teenagers. And is now saying that to be against AI for writing is inherently classist and ableist.
...Why do people still want to use NaNo?
#NaNoWriMo, the disgraced "write a novel in a month" platform that got exposed for alleged grooming, has now fully embraced using AI to write, even going as far to post an overly aggressive FAQ about it.
Apparently it's ableist AND classist to be against AI.

@c65854302@megbrobins She said that none of the girls who made the team other than Simone deserve it because they don't have the talent or the work ethic. Then she said that all she meant was that under Marta, they worked hard, and this new generation of gymnasts don't.
She deserves the consequences.
