@hummingbird228 @Matt_Cochrane7 (Not rhetorical) but what makes ZM ripe for those kinds of profits? A large fraction of FAAMG are rolling out their own offerings that are/would be offered with suites that a large number of customers already pay for. Meet for example is now free for non-suite customers
@saxena_puru (Merely an opposing argument, not ad hominem)I don’t understand the hardware premise. Most TVs come with some OS installed that allow downloading apps for each ent. provider.ROKU hasn’t committed to original content either.I don’t see the consumer argument for it, tbh.
@saxena_puru I’d think it’s easier for a utility company to establish a monopoly because they own the physical infrastructure. Closest equivalent maybe Akamai or Amazon/AWS
@7Innovator @Willy1Moe @Beth_Kindig@7investing Additionally, 5G chipsets currently have much higher energy requirements than 4G chipsets, which might imply a need for more advanced battery tech
@7Innovator @Willy1Moe @Beth_Kindig@7investing We’re a long way from full adoption of 5G - because of the higher frequency, the range is much smaller (almost line-of-sight), implying that every block would need to have 5G stations, requiring 100s of billions in investment
@saxena_puru @AtlasAlphaTrade (Disclaimer: I’m not trying to belittle your argument, just trying to provide a counter). IMHO, value adds in this space will be tech driven; AI dominantly. Goog has the upper hand, in every tech aspect (AI/security/scalability). Also has the cap to suffer losses to suffocate ZM
@saxena_puru @AtlasAlphaTrade Can’t say much from the financial perspective.I speak from a tech/AI background.I’d think most of Zoom’s customers are GSuite custs. Meet comes with GSuite (no extra fee),is improving in quality faster than Zoom & integrations (1click GCal scheduling) are increasing in efficacy
I'm getting emails from people who think my ECO21 course is for $50 per lecture, when it's $50 total, for 10 lectures. I'm sorry your university made you think education has to be a scam, but your uni's Executive Vice President for Student Engagement needs his summer villa.
It's good though that Marcus said "we will take the time to get this right." Once Libra is compliant with every jurisdiction, it will just be a more complex PayPal governed by an association.
Should've just used #Bitcoin.
@pierre_rochard Is it completely true though? I’d think that the distribution of wealth would remain unchanged - the earliest adopters would be the new 1%, no?
