🇮🇹 🇪🇺 The Great Awakening of Europe.

Our story began in a garage in Milan over a decade ago. Returning to Italy last week to share the @thekonginc Inc. initial journey at the @italiantechweek with mighty investor and board member Mike Volpi, surrounded by some of the very best in technology was both flattering - and a bit emotional.

Seeing 15,000 builders and investors together was dazzling - simply unimaginable when we were pitching up and down Italy about how APIs would connect software and AI.

A lot has changed since those early flights to Silicon Valley. Europe still has ground to make up - with no European companies left in the global top 25 list - but the second-best time to start is now.

As @JeffBezos Bezos shared, every bold motion begins with awareness, belief, ingenuity and confidence. I've met many founders here who have all four - and a touch of rock & roll.

On the final day, it was humbling and unexpected to hear European President @vonderleyen , mention the Kong's beginnings in her opening speech about how Europe must stay competitive.

This is a different Italy.
Perhaps a different Europe.
The awakening has begun.

PS: John Elkann, Team Vento, Elena Calconi and Diyala D'Aveni have done a 1.1a execution, building from Turin what's now the largest and most impactful technology event in Europe. Impressive. Massive thanks to make it happen -- #ITW25 onwards! 🙌
