The Raw Cask series from #blackadderwhisky has always been kind to me. A 16yo example from one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, this Glenturret bursts with quality. A zesty dram filled with fruits and grasses.

Bottled on January 11th 2022 at 48% this beautiful whisky has spent 25 years Sherry Casks. Definitely unhurried in true @Glengoyne fashion. This beauty has me itching to bathe my palette in stewed fruits, cinnamon and nutmegs and oak flavours.

Giving the Wee Beastie a bit of attention. This 5yo unfolds quite a bit in the glass given time. Sweet and Briney up front with some buckwheat honey and lemon pepper all come through on a very well balanced profile.

Distilled in 1997 and bottled for @lcbo Vintages in 2009, this fantastic expression of @theglengrantscotch by Hart Brothers proudly displays everything a Glen Grant should be. A wonderful dram full of sweet melon and fresh floral notes.

Bottled in 2013 at 50%, this @Arranwhisky amarone finish is delightfuly full of fresh strawberry’s and dark chocolate. Wine finishes can do a lot to change the overall profile of a spirit and in my books, this one was done very well!

Named after a large whirlpool on the northern side of Islay, there is a good reason this @ardbeg had been awarded the worlds best single malt in 2010. This peppery dram attacks the palette with blueberries, anise, and almonds. One of my all time favourite expressions by a mile.

Absolute dessert in a glass. This 1989 @Balblairwhisky 2nd release is full of sweetness. Honey, Caramel, Salted Popcorns. The finish on this one will leave you wanting more.

An incredible expression of Port Moutan’s rum bottled for @headsandtailspirits ! This 17yo single cask Rum hits you with a lot of dark fruit up front, then with a bright pear filled finish. #thewhiskyagency has opened my eyes to what rum should be. #portmourant

@Springbank1828 Claret Wood Finish spent the last 3 years of it’s maturation in claret casks. This finish gave it quite an incredible colour and some amazing red fruit flavours.

Limited to 1500 bottles this Murray McDavid selection of 1996 @Arranwhisky has been aged in Bourbon & finished in a Chateaux Margaux casks. A powerful profile featuring lots of stone fruit and butterscotch, with a long lingering finish.
